Hotel Europe Brig

I thought a major hotel would have the courtesy to provide an iron, but alas, only a pathetic cold room awaited me. They call this a budget hotel, but the room setup was downright embarrassing. Almost gave it a decent review, but the lack of basic comforts like heating ruined it. How considerate.

We were provided with a lovely big room and were very comfortable for the three nights we stayed at Brig, which is a great location for visiting sights like Matterhorn and the Aletsch glacier. Hotel is close to station and the centre of the old town. Staff were very helpful

Room was a little noisy from the trains nearby, even though we were on the side away from Station. (Station is only 100 metres away)

Location was the best thing, easy to access trains.Staff friendly and helpful, no language problems, good food.

Spacious and quiet rooms

Such a brilliant stay for one night. Low-budget hotel in a downtown area short walk to conservatory and the city of Brig. Service-minded and very hardworking staff with a good portion of humor.

The location was perfect, just a short walk from the train and bus stations. The breakfast included homemade cake and local produce, and the staff were genuinely friendly and helpful.

Some aspects felt a bit dated.

Positive, Great spot near the train station. The breakfast was excellent, offering quality Swiss fare. My room had a comfortable bed and good shower. I appreciated the old-fashioned features.

Nicely situated next to the railway station, friendy staff, good rooms, lovely breakfast.

Internet had trouble at times.

Overlooking Matterhorn-Gottard Bahn and SBB stations. Close to town centre. New owners since my visit in 2010. I think that the atmosphere in the hotel has improved. Will be visiting again in 2012

Excellent location for both the sbb and mgb railways and I had a great view of the mgb from my room

The location is perfect, just a short walk from the train station. Limited power sockets made using appliances inconvenient.

The location of the hotel meant that reaching the areas of interest in the Wallis was easy (Zermatt, Saas Fee, Bettmeralp), the staff were friendly and breakfast was nice although simple.
